After finishing 12th or diploma, student willing to join engineering college must know, how counselling works and previous year cut off mark needed to join the college. Spend 5min to read this post -select a good clg - make ur carrier good ..
Everyone likes to join Top 10 Engineering college but those colleges are get filled for cut-off in the range 190-200 .
First know the previous year cut-off mark for colleges.
Make a list of 10 colleges matches your cut-off.
Visit atleast 5 colleges from your list before councelling and know about the following:
1. Distance, travelling facility, Bus route( some of my friends who didn't considered this faced problem like reaching home late after 7pm )
2. Placement (meet the clg students & ask for placement details bcoz management may not provide the correct details regarding placements )
3. College Timing (My clg timing - 8.30 am to 4.30 pm)
4. Talk with atleast 5 students of the college which you willing to join.
5. Know about the strength of the department in the college certain department may not have good Lab facility, faculty member ... (ex: In my clg, the Aeronautical dept don't have good lab facility )
know about the branch & job opportunity available in that branch
Statistics says student with 160-185 cut-off , often make wrong decision in selecting college.
